Story

In 1947, an adherent of Gandhi and a freedom fighter were severely assaulted by the individuals who carried out the incident. During the course of the story, which takes place between 1942 and 1986, the son of a freedom fighter gets involved with the mafia and eventually becomes one of its members.

There is nothing that anyone can do to change the circumstances around this incident. The remainder of the novel focuses on the circumstances that led to the son of a freedom fighter becoming involved with the mafia as well as the consequences of this person’s involvement with the mafia.
